Ard Adz & Shallow - Pray For Dem

And the award for the best work rate goes too...Yep you've guessed, Adz and Shallow are back yet again, this time with 'Pray For Dem' from recently released album 'L.I.F.E' which you can cop from Itunes (support the movement). It seems every Adz and Shallow song goes inn with real lyrcs about life on the streets, and 'Pray For Dem' is no different. These two have to be hitting the mainstream soon, they deserve it.

C4 - Different Story

C4 goes inn once again with the deep 'Different Story'. The track has the brummy MC slow it down with a slow paced instrumental which is something different to his freestyles and usual upbeat material but C4's mad lyricism still shines through just showing his versatility as an artist. C4 kills the With visuals from 'Grime Daily North' this is definitely an 'ardd production that's got us saying Oorite! all over again.

Tinchy Stryder - A Test

*Wretch 32 voice* Ahh yeah! Tinchy goes back to his roots with 'A Test' for SBTV. We've missed the old Tinchy that used to go inn over the grimeyy garage beats with the likes of Ruff Sqwad, but we might just have hime back. 'Ere at Cor' Grimey we never did really like any of his more mainstream 'pop' songs but 'A Test' proves he still has all that raw, grimeyy talent he first started with and we hope to see this Tinchy much more.

GRIMEY REFIX: Sigeol feat Shottz, Vex & Hunter - Ill Made

Sigeol, Shottz, Vex and Hunter bring their grimeyy twist to Mac Miller's 'Good Evening'. All four MC's go in on their verse, with 'ard bars throughout ''I'm married to myself no bitch, life's a game and we play with it so we take risks''. We'll be sure to keep an eye on these artists next year.

Zems - Ah Yeah

Zems goes inn over the Rihanna instrumental with a simple but effective video. With a good flow and bars ''I'm out for my cake moving green like a vegetable'' Zems is a rising artist that we think could do well with a bit of work.

J. Lynch - Be Alright

Going inn over Hunt's 'I'll be Alright', J.Lynch gives a heartfelt tribute to a friend 'Just 'cos I cant surround you, don't mean I'm not around you, we done so well Jay, you done so well Jay. My love is all around you, but still you need to fight, I know it hurts but in time I know you'll be alright''.

With poignant bars ''man of the house when I was born but am I a man?'' and a deep chorus, this is a very good offering from J.Lynch.

Tinchy Stryder feat. Ghetts - Grime Veteran

Jheeze, Ghetts is on fiirree! With the follow up from 'Story Of The Pauper' from the overly 'aarrdd 'Momentum' Ghetts goes inn yet again, this time with a feature on Tinchy Stryders 'Grime Veteran'. Ghetts flow is maaadd and we respect the new, less mainstream sound Tinchy is going for, almost like he is going back to his 'Ruff Sqwad' days (those were the days)

GRIMEY REFIX: Spice - Make Believe

Spice (not the bashment artist) tells us why he believes in make believe with 'Make Believe'. Going inn over the Wiz track of the same name, Spice talks about life in general ''and I still get flashbacks of me playing football, like why the fuck did I end up in this hood for''. With 'ardd bars to match the 'arrd instrumental, this is one to be replayed.

Young Marv feat. Jaystar - Things Have Changed

Things get emotional with Young Marv's newest offering 'Things Have Changed' featuring upcoming singer Jaystar. The deep song see's Young Marv going inn with bars on family ''raised by a single mum, me and my bro, no old man'', growing up ''used to be a good yout then I turned bad'', life without a father ''at the age of 14, they be acting like a grown man, more gassed then a Coke can'' and with Jaystar on the chorus ''reminiscing about the good days, we were living life our own way, now things have changed''.Young Marv shows he's a lyrical force to be reckoned with, and we'll be watching out for him in the future.

No Lay - Drugs

From the moment we heard the 'Drugs' snippet on No Lay's earlier released mixtape 'I Am Legend' we knew it would be big. Then we got the full track on her follow up mixtape 'I Am Future', and although she's released an EP since, No Lay releases the visuals to one of our favourite tracks from 'I Am Future', 'Drugs'. With a Ms Dynamite inspired instrumental (gotta love abit of Ms Dynamiteee-ee) and No Lay's aggressive, fast paced bars on top this is a song to be replayed.

Tuesday 27 December 2011

GRIMEY REFIX: Tinie Tempah - The Motto (Merry Xmas Freestyle)

Since the release of his 'Happy Birthday' EP. South London rapper has shown to have fully embraced the American culture, this time with his grimeyy refix of Drake, Lil' Wayne and Tyga's hit 'The Motto'. Tinie Tempah goes inn with his usual flow and 'ardd bars alongside a cameo from Mr '+' himself Ed Sheeran. But it does seems that the south London artist has seemed to have adopted more than a few famous friends from America. Do we hear an American accent coming on?

K9 - New Sound Era

Underground rapper K9 gives a demonstration on what real Hip-Hop's about with his quick rap session for New Sound Era. The two minute session has the London based artist going inn, with K9's sick lyricism shining through on the old school hip hop instrumental "cause some man hold heat like Ryu, fireball", alongside a few bars shouting out the New Sound Era channel aswell. End of the day it's great see real Hip Hop artists like K9 keeping the UK Hip Hop scene alive. Check it out!

Sunday 25 December 2011

GRIMEY REFIX: Mynature - Sure Thing

Jheeze! The reigning King of the Grimeyy refixes returns with his take on Miguel's 'Sure Thing'. With the video presenting like a censored version of Skepta's 'All Over The House' this isn't for people with sensitive eyes. The song itself is nothing less than 'aaarrdddd! It definetely has our stamp of approval and will be on repeat for a long time to come.

Ghetts - Story Of The Pauper

Ghetts slows it down and gets deep with 'Story Of The Pauper'. Talking of the 'real' things in life, Ghetts' goes against the 'normal' sound we are used to him bringing out and delivers it well with this deep, philosophical track from his latest mixtape 'Momentum' hosted by US super producer DJ Whoo Kid. With themes including "society, the social class, money" Ghetts goes in with something that's less a Grime track and more a Grime poem and we respect Ghetts for that.

''How you gonna tell a kid he aint got to rob When the only role model he has just lost his job. Unemployed without another choice. Heading down the same path he tried to make his son avoid''

''It's the story of the Pauper, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer''

Sneakbo feat. Stylo G - Call Mi A Naija

For all them people that say Sneakbo is always trying to 'beg' Jamaican, take a look at his newest music video. Remixing Stylo G's 'Call Mi A Yardie', Sneakbo's version 'Call Mi A Naija' its a pretty self explanatory track. With Grime and Dancehall MC Stylo G still on the track, its a song for all you Naijas, Yardies (or everyone) to get gassed to.

Gracious K feat. Skepta - Round Here

Mr. 'I Said showww me how you get down' himself Gracious K comes back with what is sure to be another banger in the form of 'Round Here' featuring Skepta. The Lights Out freestyle see's both artists doing their thing, especially Skepta who we've been waiting on to bring something new out. Check it out!

Grimeyy TV: Mandem On The Wall - Episode One

Merry Christmas fellow grime fans and for a little present 'ere at Cor' Grimey we're giving you a quick review of the first episode of brand new grimeyy series 'Mandem On The Wall'. Mandem On The Wall is a grimeyy comedy that features three friends (da mandem) meeting up on a wall (on the wall, get it? Well done) discussing all the things surrounding the young people/mandem of today.

The first episode has the three 'mandem' discussing topics often heard about by young people today: boys chatting up girls, the London riots ''You know what fam, all I took was Basmati rice'' cussing of mothers ''YOUR MUMS A DICKHEAD BRUV'' and various other things. With real topics and loads of laughs this is a great start to the series and we're sure this will have you checking in to see what these three 'mandem' discuss next.

Misha B - F64 [S3.EP22]

Jheez! X Factor's very own Misha B returns, not with just anything, but with a SB.TV F64! The 19 year old singer/ rapper shows her versatility with three and a half minutes of straight firee. Not many people go half as 'aardd as Misha on their F64, and with a compilation of singing and rapping behind two sick instrumentals this music session really highlights her 'ard lyricism (we love the Caribbean influence in her raps ''can't say nuttin, come say suttin, Vybz Kar-tellin 'em Touch A Button'')  and amazing vocals. 'Ere at Cor' Grimey Misha B was our X Factor winner (It was a fix fam!) and we believe that this is only the start of an amazing career for the artist.

Saturday 24 December 2011

Ard Adz & Sho Shallow - I Don't Know

Jheeeze Ard Adz and Sho Shallow have been on fiirreee of late! Carrying on from their previous offering 'Keep Standing' and Adz recently released 'Addicted', the duo return with another banger in the form of 'I Don't Know'. The newest release is just as truthal and revealing as its predecessor's with Adz and Shallow both going inn with deep bars on family ''I told my nephew I'd be the uncle to believe in, and I aint even go see him on the weekends'', money ''worse thing I know that its evil, I've seen people turn snakes for a cheap note''. End of the day Adz and Shallow go 'aarrdd yet again, these two will go very far.

GRIMEY REFIX: Jungle - End Credits

Jheeze! Upcoming lyricist Jungle goes inn with his grimeyy refix of Plan B's 'End Credits'. The sped up chorus ''when the blood dries in my veins and my heart feels no more pain I know I'll be on my way to Heavens door'' goes 'aarrddd with Jungle spitting fire on the verses. With a grimey refix this 'aarrdd we can't wait to see some original material from Jungle!

Friday 23 December 2011

Exo (USG) - [Sit By Da Layaway] Freestyle

Since K Koke's release last month; his group U.S.G have been in the spotlight as of recently, with a new wave of upcoming rappers coming into our attention and have shown that they go just as hard as their frontman. Exo's no exception with his 'arddd freestyle 'Sit By Da Layaway'.

The Stonebridge rapper goes inn over a grimeyy beat with his insightful lyrics about life on the streets "And there out in the hood fam their kids are dieing, and nothing seems to work no matter what their trying". With themes of drugs, violence and society Exo's truth written bars shows that he's an artist to keep an eye on.

GRIMEY REFIX: Impact - John

Upcoming grime MC Impact puts his grimeyy touch on Rick Ross and Lil Wayne's 'John' for Nang TV. With a fast, aggressive flow and good bars, Impact does a thoroughly good grimeey take on the hit that is 'John'. Check it out!

J2K feat. Ayo - Never Know

J2K and Ayo collaborate on their latest project 'Never Know'. The track has the two artists going inn from the verses to the chorus with 'ardd bars throughout and a positive underlying message of just to live life to the fullest. The track's upbeat instrumental brings something different to the UK music scene but makes this track a BANGER! End of the day this is a tunee from start to finish and we're looking forward to what these two ambitious artists do next.

Download J2K and Ayo's collaborative EP - #NowPlaying 2 here at: http://www.mediafire.com/?38j4jgicusj9j0z

Shaz Rahman - F*ck Dat

'Ere at Cor' Grimey we love a song to get gassed to, and this time its Shaz Rahman's 'F*ck Dat'  that has us FULLY GASSED! From the instrumental to the bars to the chorus, everything about 'F*ck Dat' goes innn, and this will definitely be on replay for the foreseeable future. We might just be really late (you know Cor' Grimey's NEVER late when it comes to grimeyy music), but we hadn't heard of Shaz Rahman before 'F*ck Dat', so to make up for our sins we'll definetly be looking out for him in the future.

Big Ben feat. Shevlo - I Got To Make It'

Big Ben gets serious with 'I Got To Make It'. The track see's Big Ben speak of his struggle to 'make it' and how nothing will stop him from doing so. With Shevlo's soulful vocals on the chorus it has a meaningful, laid back vibe. If Big Ben and Shevlo carry on as they are now, they will definetlely 'make it'.

Darkness - Skatty

Jheeze! Ever feel in need of a nice, aggressive, fast paced grime track with a raw grimeyy beat? Look no further then Darkness' latest offering 'Skatty'. Soley focused on back to back bars, with no proper chorus in sight (singers on chorus' are soo overdone *sigh*) its nice to see someone more focused on their vocal prowess then the instrumental or chorus.

Jedi - Tattoos & Piercings

Jedi dedicates his latest song to all the ladies with tattoo's and piercings with a track entitled; yep you've guessed, 'Tattoo's & Piercings'. Its not very often you get a song dedicated soley to women's tattoo's and piercings but with a song this good, we hope theres more songs with that theme.

GRIMEY REFIX: Rimz - I'm On

Jheeze! Rimz goes inn over Trae Tha Truth and Co's 'Im On' instrumental. 'Ere at Cor' Grimey we love the original, but with a video of 1 minute and 38 seconds Rimz puts his grimey twist with a verse on the beat, and does it well. Rimz personal bars about his life  "broke days I remember that, and f*ck being broke cause it turn't me mad" just demonstrates why he's an artist to watch out for.

Hunt - I'll Be Alright

Storytelling lyricist Hunt shares truth and knowledge with newest release 'I'll Be Alright'. With a meaningful chorus ''And I can't tell you that I'm doing well, 'cos if I did realtalk cuzzy that would be a lie'' and a simple, yet effective hip-hop instrumental, Hunt shows he's a rapper to look out for.

Jibsta - Love Don't Live Here Anymore

With a sample of Rose Royce's 'Love Don't Live Here Anymore', Jibsta talks of where his heart is ''I got love for the money, no time for yatts. Money's where the heart is and where the mind is at''. The instrumental is enough to carry the song all on its own, but Jibsta manages to add to it with good bars and flow.

Ard Adz - Addicted

Ard Adz speaks to the females with 'Addicted'. With his usual effortless bars ''I told one girl she's beautiful, she's saved on my phone as bootycall'' and flow, Adz kills the calm instrumental. With a female vocal on the chorus this is a sure fire grimeyy hit. Heres a tune you'll get 'addicted' to (was that too much?)

Thursday 22 December 2011

JME - 96 F**keries

BLAM! As of recently JME has been dropping some seriouss bangers in the past month (If you haven't heard 'GUN' or his 'Twitter Freestyle' where have you been fam!?) that's just left us wanting for more. Well now we can wait no longer my fellow grime fans cause JME's got us gassed once again with his new upcoming single '96 f**keries'.

This time round the BBK member spits 96 Bars of firee behind a grimeyy instrumental (shoutout to Deeco for the sick production) with the trademark JME flow and 'arrd bars throughout "You hype too much, but i dont see you fight too much, thats why your not liked too much, you've been snorting the white too much" End of the day with the single dropping next month we're sure 2012 is going to be a big year for JME. Seriouss!

Wednesday 21 December 2011

Amplify Dot - King Kong

We've been waiting on Amplify Dot to drop something bigg since her Warm Up session a few months ago and here it is. 'King Kong' off of Dotty's upcoming EP 'Short Back & Sides' see's the femcee spitting her trademark punchlines ''I'm piecing it together, call me LegoLand Windsor'' over a 'aardd instrumental with an all round effortless swag. This sounds very promising of what is to come. We want a Short Back & Sides (No Barber) now!

Tuesday 20 December 2011

Logic & Last Resort ft. Klashnekoff & Lowkey - 'True Talk'

Jheez! Rap veteran Logic and producer Last Resort go inn with 'True Talk' featuring fellow UK rap veterans Klashnekoff and Lowkey. The deep and truthful lyrics from all artists is something to be noted, with themes of money, success and society the track shows what true Hip Hop is all about and that is real artists spitting 'True Talk'.

Another thing we love about this track is the 'arddd instrumental from Last Resort which absolutely makes the track we're sure he's a producer to watch. End of the day this is a true UK hip hop track from three of the finest UK artists that has got us saying wheeel it upp!

Kaypa - No Excuses

It's not very often we hear tracks that convey a meaningful message.. So it's great to see Kaypa go inn about a topic that's needed to be addressed in his latest release 'No Excuses' for Sprayout Sessions.

The track has the Brummy MC spit passionately about the theme of knife and gun crime/culture. Here is something we've all heard about or even been affected by and Kaypa's hard hitting lyrics perfectly convey the message "that there are no excuses" for crimes like this.

End of the day we 'ere at Cor' Grimey believe spreading a message through music is something to be respected so we salute Kaypa for this track and also big shoutout to Wizard for the 'ardd production. We're looking forward to what this artist does next. Check it out!

Cascade - I Do This Sh*t

Cascade goes inn with 'I Do This Sh*t' a track from his upcoming mixtape 'Sleepless Nights and Early Mornings'. Accompanied with a lyric video that's reminiscent to Kanye West's 'All Of The Lights' the track has the London based artist spitting fire with 'ardd bars throughout "These n***as looking point blank like a decimal' behind a grimeyy instrumental. Jheez! Make sure you keep an eye out for his new mixtape coming soon.

Download this track here at: http://www.mediafire.com/?wg965639979759w

Silence Tv - Abes Odyssey Feat. Catz In The Hood

We 'ere at Cor' Grimey we love oursleves a bit of UK Hip Hop and Abes Odyssesy shows just why we do alongside UK rap group Catz In The Hood with this 5 minute rap session on Silence Tv. The artists go 'ardd on this with insightful lyrics about their lives, the music scene and the society we live in. The raw lyrics shows the true essence of the UK Hip Hop scene at the moment: So sickk yet so underated (180 views DPMO). The basic old school hip hop instrumental which also includes samples from the old school rap scene really allows us to hear what the lyrics are saying with deep bars that everyone can connect or relate to in one way or another. Mad respect to both Abes Odyssesy and Catz In The Hood for this session showing what real UK Hip Hop's about.

FIRE IN THE CYPHER!: Certified Visions - Cipher Sessions Roly, Rhemah, Scheme, Ace-Fire, Impulse, Jam-Jam

Another day, another Firee in the cypher with Roly, Rhemah, Scheme, Ace-Fire, Impulse and Jam-Jam all 'spitting fire' (see what we did there?) on Cipher Sessions by Certified Visions. Everyone goes in back to back on this grimeyy instrumental especially Roly's mad lyricism ''punch me you must be cracked like Humpty'', Rhemah demonstrating his sick flow and Scheme with his 'ardd bars 'I'll f*ck the game you ain't getting her aroused'. Jheez! Check it out!

Juvenilez - Hush Hush

Something asked alot of upcoming group Juvenilez is for them to release more original material, instead of  remixes (which they do very well, might we say). Well here it is. Their newest release 'Hush Hush' see's T Star and Gabriella going innn on a siiccckkkkkk instrumental. 'Ere at Cor' Grimey we like a good singer, and Gabriella is definitely that. We also like the idea of this collective, an almost N-Dubz style group (without a Dappy, thank you Lord) rappers and singers uniting to form something pretty special.

Ruby Goe - We Built This House (Dropout Live)

Upcoming singer Ruby Goe blesses Dropout live with an acoustic version of 'We Built This House'. Her mature, somewhat husky vocals keep you listening as the track builds up. The chorus; ''We built this house, now watch me tear it down'' is stuck in our heads. There's alot of talented upcoming singers out there nowadays, and Ruby Goe is one of them.

Aimer feat. Kofi Muzick & Pico - Shake Your Body

Azonto's breaking through! With the help of Kofi Muzick and Pico, Aimer brings something different to the table with 'Shake Your Body'. The 'Azonto' (Ghanaian dance) themed video is at its best within each rapper's verse. End of the day its an upbeat and feel good tune to move your body to. So how about you listen to this and SHAKE YOUR BODY!

Queen T Freestyle

Jheez! Queen T goes in yet again, this time with a freestyle for JDZ Media. We've been waiting for something new from Queen T for a while now, and although we've not got a new tune, this freestyle just shows what shes capable of.  Spitting on the Jim Jones instrumental (perhaps also known from Young Mike's 'Day 2') Queen T goes 'aardd with a good flow ''and if you dont know my name you better reload, verse that i wrote,  hands tied with my eyes closed''

Sunday 18 December 2011

Calibar ft Jesse Appiah - Let Down My Guard

It's not very often we hear tracks about relationships in the Grime scene, but when they drop they usually go inn and Calibar (Who'd you remember from being part of 'Combination Camp' alongside Wretch 32) proves just that with 'Let Down My Guard' with upcoming singer Jesse Appiah on the chorus. Part of visual mixtape 'Going Back to Cali'  the track has the north London MC going in with a storytelling flow about getting into a serious relationship and not wanting to get hurt at the end of it. Calibar is set to storm the scene very soon and could a collaboration with Wretch be on the cards maybe? Also look out for the cameo from Poet from That's a Wrap Show Jheez.

Download Calibar's latest E.P. 'Going Back To Cali' here at: http://www.sendspace.com/file/moey4n

Uncle Mix feat. Shannon - Shoot Your Kite Down

It's not very often a rapper delves deep inside them self to show their vulnerability on a track. Uncle Mix does just that. Accompanied by his son and daughter, Mix talks of his family and tough upbringing. With themes of abuse (drug, physical etc), murder and social services its a pretty grim tale, but Mix brings it together to make a brilliantly executed track.

The overlying message 'don't let them shoot your kite down' is a hopeful and inspirational one, especially in the midst of the tales of abuse and embodies who Uncle Mix is as a rapper. Also check out his 'Domestic Abuse PLA' entitled 'Freddies Dream'  another harrowing story brought to life by Uncle Mix.

Instead of following the majority of UK rappers, Uncle Mix is walking in his own direction and we salute him for that. Only bad point? Altogether it has under 2,000 views (DPMO) this deserves atleast 20,000. Keep doing what your doing, Mix, and you'll go far.

Saturday 17 December 2011

Retro Apollo feat. Phrazy, Terra, Concious Vibes, Mazey, Raze, JayGee, Infamous, Ayhay, Kidtazstik - Propane Freestyle

Jheez! With 10 artists on the track, the 'Propane Freestyle' had to go harrdd, and we're not dissapointed. All artists involved go inn on their verses but we have to say the ones to look out for on the track have to be Mazey (we love the quick beat drop at the start of his verse), Infamous ''dropping off the bomb, call it 9/11'', JayGee ''i'm feeling high but I aint stoned, and I love the way that you slate me'', AyHay ''you say your minds a weapon dickhead but you firing blanks'' and Kidtazstik ''they ask if I'm a girl, I am not gay but I can come and take your girl''.

End of the day it's great to see these grimeyy upcoming UK artists join together and spit firee behind an 'arrddd instrumental. If this track's telling us anything, its that UK Rap is very much alive. Check it out!

Bomma B feat. PRessure - It's A Minor

Bomma B has us gassed with 'It's a Minor' featuring PRessure on Flush UK Media. The Birmingham based artists goes innn with each verse behind a grimeyy instrumental, and we can't get enough of PRessure's ''I got lyrics for days so its a minor'', its gonna be in our heads for days. Aah! This is a track to get any Grime fan gassedd!

Minie Dappz - #GOOSH2

Minie Dappz heads over to Grime Blog for a quick freestyle on their '#GOOSH2' section, the follow up to the well recieved '#GOOSH' freestyle series (check out Lil Choppa's #GOOSH, you won't be dissapointed). With a deadly grimeyy flow and very good content "can't stand you like a scouser's accent", Minie Dappz is most definetly a threat and only 15 years of age? Well the future's bright for the grime scene.

Friday 16 December 2011

T.K - Snaking You

Jheez! T.K goes 'aarrdd yet again, this time with the release of 'Snaking You'. With tales of 'fake' friends and how money and fame can change people ''What do you know about your best friend snaking you? Since money got involved pricks hating you'' T.K's sick lyricism shines through this grimeyy instrumental, showing time after time, this guy is on fiirreee.T.K is one of our favourite upcoming UK rappers 'ere at Cor' Grimey and this release shows just why we have so much respect for him. Also a big shoutout to Quason Matthews for the 'ard visuals aswell.

Kelz feat. Paigey Cakey - TBK Weekly

Jheez! Kelz and Paigey Cakey go 'arrdd with the third episode of TBK Weekly. The hypee tune displays both artists sick lyricism especially Paigey Cakey (who you'd recognise from the grimeyy movie 'Attack The Block') who steals the limelight with her witty bars on the second verse ''I'm so fit yeah call me epilepsy, staying in shape like Barber'' ''Im heeerree [hair]. Regrow''. This is one to get Gasseeddd to.

WHAT'S THE E.P. SAYING?: Tinie Tempah - Happy Birthday

Hip Hip Hooray! Tinie Tempah is back with his latest E.P. 'Happy Birthday'. Having already creating a hype from leaking his 'arrddd collaboration with J.Cole and Wretch 32 we could already tell that his E.P. was going to be a BANGER, and the now dropped 'Happy Birthday' definitely lives up to our expectations.

The 9 track E.P. has the south London raised artist going inn with his sickk lyricism, proving yet again he can only go from strength to strength since his debut album 'Disc-Overy'.

The thing that's got us 'ere at Cor' Grimey gassed is the guest features. From his hometown friends in the UK such as G Frsh, Giggs, Krept and Konan to his new stateside homies Big Sean, J. Cole and Pusha T, the collaborations all go 'aarrdd with all rappers spittin firee on their featured tracks.  It is especially great to see Tinie Tempah sticking true to his musical roots collaborating with a few grimeyy artists from the UK.

End of the day with a sick production, 'ard guest appearances and 'ard bars 'Happy Birthday' has all the components for a BANGER! So Tinie, when's the second album dropping?

Download 'Happy Birthday here at: http://www.dopehood.com/tinie-tempah-happy-birthday-ep-download/

Jareth - Pathway (Acoustic)

A while ago we featured Jareth's 'Pathway' video with Lioness and what an amazing vocal ability she had. And then we heard this acoustic version for Music Hiccup TV and realized Jareth is one seriously talented woman. In a raw, open enviroment with only a couple of instruments to accompany her, Jareth shines through with that amazingly unique voice she possesses. Can we have an album like now please?

Wayvez feat. Tai Nang - Breakthrough

Wayvez returns yet again, this time collaborating with Tai Nang on 'Breakthrough'. The songs instrumental and chorus gives it a garage feel, and seperates it from the majority of grimeyy music coming out nowadays. Wayvez goes inn with his delivery and punchlines, while Tai Nang shines on the chorus with a soft vocal which compliments the track nicely. If both artists carry on in this direction, they will definitely 'breakthrough'.

If, like us, your liking Wayvez's sound, why not download his EP 'Wayvatron' which features 'Breakthrough' here at: http://www.sendspace.com/file/wezju4

Midge Vivo - ''Call It Bars'' session

Midge Vivo goes innn with his ''Call It Bars'' session for Daily Struggle TV. The upcoming grime MC returns with a freestyle after his grimeyy 'Definition' video last month and carries on the hype for whats next. With well executed bars ''now let me just define myself, the one who always internally gags and tie's himself. Thats right I hide myself'' and a 'arrdd flow, Midge goes well and truly inn. Only bad point? Noisy wind in the background (Noisy wind fi get gunshot).

Thursday 15 December 2011

Mahry - Floetry

With a musical mixture of American and British swag, you'd be forgiven for thinking upcoming singer/rapper/poet Mahry was American. No need to fear, Mahry is a proud Londoner, yep this girl is homegrown talent! This is the first time we've heard of Mahry, but after listening to her doing her ting over Blackstreet's smash 'No Diggity' we will be keeping an eye and ear out for what she does next. This girl has some serioouss (no JME) talent.

Ard Adz & Shallow - Keep Standing

Ard Adz and Shallow go deep with 'Keep Standing'. The duo never fail to deliver and thats shown yet again in their lyricism, with Adz opening the song ''I've been standing for a while and I aint tryna fall, kinda short, I stand tall like the China wall'' and Shallow carrying it on with his verse ''Don't let me fall I'm in it to the death of me, you like me now but you aint seen the best of me''. These two have always been ones to watch in the game, and they prove why each time.

Guvnor feat. Double S - Trending (Prod. by Wizzy Wow)

Upcoming MC Guvnor is most definately on trend with 'Trending' (see what we did there?). With production by Wizzy Wow, you know this is gonna sound good from the get go. Double S also shows he can go just as hard on his own as he does with Marvell, and from the sound of 'Trending' we want to see more solo projects from him. End of the day, all parties involved go inn and we are looking forward to what they all have in store.

GRIMEY REFIX: Junior Brat (Vs Rednek) - Forgiveness

Another day, another grimeyy refix of Wretch's 'Forgiveness', but this one is pretty special. Junior Brat has been going inn with alot of grimey refixes of late, including refixes of Labrinth's 'Earthquake' and Kanye & Jay-Z's 'N***as in Paris'  but perhaps is most well known for 'Smell of Success' last year which has topped up nearly 60,000 views on Youtube. But none of these go as harrdd as his latest release, which adds a whole new dimension to the original. with a mad flow, content, beat (big shout out to Rednek for that) and even madder contacts (where can we get a pair?) its safe to say his take on 'Forgiveness' is a MADTING! Junior Brat, carry on like this and you'll go far.

Pane & Yardz Feat. Ray Gambeno - Madness

Jheez! Pane & Yardz return yet again, this time collaborating with Ray Gambeno on 'Madness'. Gambeno starts the song with ''All I see is the bloodshead from the sound of the gun fire'' and with his 'aarrdd vocals goes innn before the 20 second mark. Pane & Yardz both do their ting respectively (as usual) with Pane going 'arrdd from his first line ''I remember me stabbing up a youts leg, big Pane on the track bagging 2 Z's and Yardz with a sick flow in the second verse ''GBH music we'll have you going crazy''

GRIMEY REFIX: Weaz - Forgiveness

Fresh from his grimey refix of 'The Motto' with Fret Deezy and Stormzy, Weaz turns his hands to something a bit deeper with his version of Wretch's hit 'Forgiveness' for OSM Vision. The video, filmed and edited by Odotsheaman and Sean Labode tells the story of a broken relationship and how it affects the main character (suicide). Now you gotta be pretty good to go innn on a track already made overly successful by the man of the year himself Mr. Wretch 32 but Weaz manages to hold his own and delivers a very good grimeyy refix. We can't wait to see what Weaz is going to do next.

Tuesday 13 December 2011

Bashy feat. Giggs - Backhand P.R.I.C.K.S

Jheez! Mr. Bish Bash Bosh returns with 'Backhand P.R.I.C.K.S'. The animated video adds a nice vibe to the song along with Giggs short but sweet feature on the chorus ''This is proper music, this is passionate, this is Bashy and Giggs and we're smashing shit'' and they most certainly are.

Silqe - Freestyle

Who said British Hip-Hop is dead?! Silque kills it with an ACTUAL freestyle, all bars off the top of his head (take note blackberry reading 'grime MC's'). The upcoming lyricist delivers three and a half minutes of fiiire with a brilliant, consistent delivery and content. 'Ere at Cor' Grimey we're always backing the UK Hip-Hop scene and this rapper is one of the reasons it carries to shine through in the midst of a scene full to the brim of Grime. This guy is gonna do BIG things.

Cher Lloyd feat. Mic Righteous, Dot Rotten & Ghetts - Dub On The Track

Fast forward to 1:31 for Mic Righteous ''Just hit the A-List, Can't touch this 'cos I'm in a spaceship'' 2:20 for Dot Rotten ''I'm a psycho (Syco) no Simon'' and 3:23 for Ghetts ''I might give her the wood like Ikea''. No matter whats been said about the three MC's for featuring on the track, they still all represent and deliver, especially Dot who doesn't seem to be putting a foot wrong nowadays. We never thought we'd feature anything Cher Lloyd on this blog but Mic Righteous, Dot Rotten and Ghetts just about save 'Dub On The Track'.

GRIMEY REFIX: Omz The Singer - Deuces

Upcoming vocalist Omz blesses P110 Unplugged with a grimeyy refix of Chris Brown's 'Dueces'. The Birmingham bred singer has been popping up on various channels for a while now, but his version of 'Deuces' is what caught our attention. We hope to see more grimey refixes and perhaps some original material from this artist very soon.

Etta Bond - Forgiveness (Solo Acoustic Version)

Female songstress Etta Bond gives us a much anticipated full solo perfomance of her and Wretch's hit 'Forgiveness'. Being super producer/singer/songwriter Labrinth's first Odd Child signee, it's obvious this girl has major talent and her version of 'Forgiveness' only adds to that point. The Soul Culture feature see's Etta goes deep with her own verses ''Spent my last 10 on weed like its growing on a fruit tree, masking my thoughts 'til I'm blind to what I'm sorry for'' and in a very different direction to Wretch's original bars, talking of  'our' comfortable lives compared to others overseas ''Signing on, pretending that I 'jobseek', when across sea's 6 year olds are digging through the rubbish''. This is a brilliant rendition of the original, all we want to know: when's the album out?

Ghetts Ft. Scorcher, Kano & Wretch 32 - On A Level (Remix)

*Wretch 32 voice* Ahh Yeaahh. Scorcher, Kano and the man of the hour Wretch 32 murder it with their remix of Ghetts 'On A Level'. Sully, urmm we mean Kano goess 'arrddd as usual ''talking about flows, I've got several'' and the guy aint lying. Kano's fast paced flow perfects his section of the track, and we'd love to see him do this type of track more often. Check out the beat changes throughout the track, this is what you call production heaven, this beat is maaadd. Wretch does his thing as normal and we're liking that he's sticking with his roots. No amount of mainstream success will take Wretch away from his home, grime. We salute you Wretch.

Rebecca Winter feat. Sham - Thinking About You

Rebecca Winter slows it down with 'Thinking About You'. The 16 year old singer/ songwriter collaborates with upcoming rapper Sham to bring something a bit different to the game. With a catchy chorus and a nice rap feature near the end, this song has got us thinking about Rebecca Winter and what she has in store.

K Koke - I'm Back (Welcome Back)

'I'm always on the move like a caravan of gypsies'

Jheez! K Koke is most definitely back in the game. Fresh from his 7 month jail sentance, the Roc Nation signee goes innnn with new hood video 'I'm Back', but come on this is K Koke we're talking about, we wouldn't expect any less. Welcome back Koke, we've missed you!

GRMEY REFIX: Juvenilez - Take Care

There must be something in the water, first red headed songstress Florence & The Machine jumped on Drake and Rihanna's 'Take Care', now upcoming group Juvenilez have decided to put their slightly more grimey touch on the laidback hit. The group, consisting of two rappers (AJ and T-Star) and two singers (Gabriella and Indiana) feature only two of the members on this grimey refix, Gabriella and AJ. This is a very promising movement for the group, and we're excited at whats to come.

Friday 9 December 2011

Bello - My Life

Bello gives a personal outlook of life on the streets in 'My Life'. The North London artist spits real bars about his personal experiences on the road and how it has effected him. With themes of death, family and trying to live a better life Bello is spitting straight from the heart. With its emotional topics, the deep track has what is not seen much in the UK music scene, further showing Bello is a REAL grime artist. We are definitely looking forward to what this artist does in the future.

Joe Black feat. Tallman - No Turning Back

Jheeez! Joe Black proves he can only go forward in the UK music scene with 'No Turning Back' alongside frequent collaborator Tallman. Spitting about life on the streets and working to make it big; Joe Black and Tallman also spits about a theme a lot of us can relate to of just 'trying to earn this cash'. With a slowed paced instrumental and real lyrics we're expecting great things from these two artists.

LETHAL BIZZLE FT JME & FIRE CAMP - LEAVE IT YEAH (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Jheez! Lethal Bizzle brings the visual to the liiivvee 'Leave It Yeah' featuring non other than his trusty crew Fire Camp and Mr. BLAM himself JME. The dench (see what we did there?) new tune has been going around for a while now but the official video release has made an even bigger buzz around it, maybe even more so than the maaddd 'Move' with Lady Leshurr ('MOVE! Tell them get out the way!') but for now all we're saying is LEAVE IT YEAH!

Female Allstars - Roc The Mic (BBC 1Xtra Live)

This year has most definitely been the year of the female MC or 'femcee' as we like to call them. With massive collaborations such as 'Game Over - The Female Takeover' (you know certain ones went 'arrdeerr than their male counterparts), the 'Female Allstars' remix of  'Born Ready' and the increasing  notability of all femcee's involved, this years BBC 1xtra Live was sure to be filled to the brim with all these amazingly talented female artists. And boy did they deliver. Performing unreleased track 'Roc The Mic' Lady Leshurr, Amplify Dot, Roxxxan, Lioness, Baby Blue and Mz. Bratt go innnn with each of their sections. A big shout out to R O Triple X and Lady Leshurr who both absolutely murder the beat with their 'aarrddd bars. UK stand up!

RoxXxan - Thunder Bay (Freestyle)

R-O-Triple X goes 'aarrdd yet again with her newest freestyle 'Thunder Bay'. Being a rapper, leader of the BackPack gang and the 'girl version of Wiley' (thats what she told us) must take quite a lot of time so we feel very blessed to be hearing something brand new from one of our favourite femcee's Roxxxan. Also wagwarn with her mixtape 'Prepare 4 When I Land'? Its been due out for what seems like years now, but hopefully 'Thunder Bay' is a sign its on its way.

GRIMEY REFIX: Josh Osho - Jesus Walks

Jheeeez! Upcoming singer Josh Osho completely re-invents Kanye West's 'Jesus Walks'. Its a fresh breath of air for music as Josh Osho makes the song completely his, if you didn't know it was a Kanye West cover you'd probably think it was an original song. Heard the name before? Well this guys been up to a lot in the past year, after bringing out a song featuring the legend that is Ghostface Killah ('Redemption Days' check it out NOW) and most recently featuring on Marger's hit 'This Year' Josh Osho has certainly built up a name for himself, and we're sure he will continue to do so.

Vex - Ups & Downs

Jheez! Vex jumps on a more hip-hop vibe with 'Ups & Downs'. with an 'aaarrdd instrumental and Vex's effortless flow ontop, this Youtube video will be getting the 'replay' treatment at Cor' Grimey.

GRIMEY REFIX: Dreama - Shot Caller

Dreamer puts his grimey touch on French Montana's 'Shot Caller'. The 'aarrdd instrumental is perfect for any rapper to do their thing on, and Dreama certainly does his thing on the beat. At 1 and a half minutes long, it leaves you wanting more, so if you want more of Dreama check out his 'Word To The Haters', trust us its 'aarrrddd! With a good flow and lyricism, Dreama is one to watch from now on.

Wednesday 7 December 2011

Krept & Konan - Let Go feat. Lewis Watson

The lyrical geniuses that are Krept & Konan get deep with 'Let Go'. While being a complete contrast to the exceedingly popular 'Paranormal Activity Remix', 'Let Go' still packs just as hard a punch as its predecessor. Its a great clash of artists with Krept & Konan giving thoughtful bars with great delivery and Lewis Watson adding to the mood with his raw, brilliant vocals. A big shout out to upcoming singer Lewis, he may not be a household name but he certainly has a strong online presence and following, with covers of many songs (our favourite being 'Fast Car') and original pieces. We are sure this will be a massive track and know all these artists will go on to great things.

Duchess - Tripping

Watch out Stooshe, theres another upcoming UK Girl band in town. Duchess show very good vocal ability individually and together (their harmonies are on point). Hopefully if they stick with the type of music such as 'Tripping' and carry on with the stripped back stuff (no electro pop please girls) they will go far. Fingers crossed they dont go down the manufactured girlband route... (cough Girls Aloud cough)

GRIMEY REFIX: Terra - Dreams Money Can Buy

Well, well, well. Many UK artists have put their grimey edge to Drake's hit song 'Dreams Money Can Buy' but none have gone so deep and truthal as Terra. The upcoming lyricist tells us of the dreams he has that money can buy ''I won't be happy 'til I buy my family a home'' and the problems with trying to be a rapper, especially to expectant parents ''My Daddy is mad at me, he thinks music is nuttin but glamour and vanity''. With a Joe Blacks feel, Terra goes innn with understated, meaningful bars and we can't wait to see what he will do next.

Chucky GG - In Runfold

Everyone, we are now entering GASSS MODEE!! Jheez Chucky GG has us at Cor' Grimey gassed over his new tune 'In Runfold'. Not to be confused with other upcoming UK rapper Chucky, Chucky GG goes innn with his tales of how he 'gets it in' (see what we did there?)

Meeks feat. Malik & Big V - How Many Ways

*Wretch 32 voice* Ahhh yeah! Meeks, Malik and Big V come with an inspirational message with new song 'How Many Ways'. With a catchy, laidback chorus 'How many ways can I better myself without selling my soul for the wealth' on top of a vibed out instrumental and all artists going 'arrdd individually and together, this is a biiggg song. Its a nice change from the average UK rappers song.

C4's Freestyle Firee!

Upcoming artist C4 has got us going Oorite! With his Link Up TV Freestyle. The Birmingham MC absolutely destroys this grimeyy instrumental with his 'ardd bars and his even 'arrder flow that will get any grime fan gassed. The thing we like about C4 is that he has a unique spitting style that makes him stand out from a lot of artists in the scene right now, which we believe will make him one to watch. With his 'OoRite Time' E.P. out now on iTunes we are looking forward to what the Brummy MC brings out next.

Maxsta feat. L Marshall - Spit Fire

Cor' Grimey! Maxsta 'spits fire' on 'Spit Fire' (see what we did there?) alongside singer/rapper L. Marshall of 'Traktor' fame on the chorus (I ride this motherfuckin' beat like a Traktor). The track has SB.TV's record label 'Just Jam' first signee going inn behind a grimeyy instrumental with L. Marshall on the short yet quite catchy chorus (I spit fire, I don't play, I stack, I stack pees all day). This is sure to be a grimeyy hit.

Lz - Scene Smasher (Part 2)

Following on from his first 'Scene Smasher' for P110 July of this year, Lz  'smashes' it with the continuation. The Birmingham MC destroys this Dubstep instrumental with his 'ard lyricism ''Like Charlie Sheen you know I'm winning'' If he carries on like this, Lz will definitely be winning Grime-scene wise.

Abby Power - Each Lyric

Following on from her collaboration with Courtney Bennett, upcoming lyricist/ singer Abby Power talks relationships and life with 'Each Lyric'. The stripped down song accompanied with a laidback instrumental really help highlight Abby's vocal talent aswell as her lyrical prowess and show us what we've known since we first noticed her; Abby Power has alot of potential. We look forward to what is to come.

Tinie Tempah feat. Big Sean - Lucky C**t

Tinie Tempah's on fiiirree! With the second release of his upcoming Mixtape 'Happy Birthday', Tinie gets no-one other than Mr 'I Do It' himself Big Sean to collaborate on 'Lucky C**t' (hmm wonder what the c**t means, oh, we get it.). But no need to worry if you think Tinie's becoming too Americanized, the track is produced by super British producer Wizzy Wow (he still loves us). 'Ere at Cor' Grimey we seriously CANNOT wait for the mixtapes release, it will be like all our Birthday's have come at once (see what we did there?).

Marger feat. Josh Osho - This Year (Official Music Video)

Jheez! Marger brings the visuals to his sure to be hit song 'This Year' featuring Josh Osho. The video, based in a boxing gym shows the fighting spirit both Marger and Josh Osho possess in moving forward with their music. It seems Marger can't go wrong, and if he carries this hype into next year it will be a very promising year for him. Watch out for Marger's E.P. 'Cheeky' dropping in January 2012!

Fret Deezy, Weaz & Stormzy - The Motto Freestyle

Jheez! Fret Deezy, Weaz and Stormzy all go 'aarrddd with their 'The Motto' freestyle. Fret Deezy opens it with a grimeyy flow and word play 'they be mainstream when they can't even flow' and Weaz carries on the firree with his sick lyricism 'see me looking fly like i'm going overseas'. Stormzy comes in last but by no means least with the MC going 'ard bar to bar 'and everybody's kosher, stepped up in the scene now we fucking up the rota'. So in basic terms what's it saying? This is definitely a tune to get GASSED to.

GRIMEY REFIX: Courtney Bennett - Quickie

The reigning Queen of the Grimey Refixes Courtney Bennett puts her grimey twist on Bridget Kelly's version of Miguel's ''Quickie''. 17 year old Singer-Songwriter/ Lyricist/Producer from good ol' London Town goes innn yet again with her soft vocals. Whether she's singing a cover or spitting bars over a well known rap song Courtney Bennett always delivers.

Friday 2 December 2011

JP - Payne Is Love

Upcoming artist JP gets emotional with 'Payne is Love'. In his newest track the artist spits about the troubles in his life, the street around him and his aims to do right. JP spits with emotion in this track, which is something rarely seen in the grime scene nowadays. With some insight of his personal life and his family the North London artist really allows us to connect with the track. We can't wait to see what JP brings out next!

Weaz - Where I'm From (Robbers & Shotters)

Upcoming rapper Weaz spits over D-Block's ''Get That Paper'' with a nice female vocal on the chorus. ''Where I'm From'' see's Weaz rhyming about just that, where he's from showcasing his deep lyricism about life on the streets "Where I'm from people wear hoodies when they're beefing, so they don't get clocked like Big Ben". Jheez Weaz (see what we did there?) definitely goes 'ard on this track.

Thursday 1 December 2011

FIRE IN THE CYPHER!: Upnorth Cypher Part 1

Pinch, punch, first day of the month fam! And guess what we're introducing a new feature where we give you the 'ardest grimeyy cyphers in the UK music scene right now. In this cypher some of the sickest upcoming artists from the North go inn on KODH TV's Upnorth Cypher with some arrdd bars from Billeazy, Griz, Golden, Tkid, Keyz, Snapz, Rastickz, Darks, Bizz and MarkZ£D.
