Smiler Ft Lady Leshurr - Delorean Remix

The severely underrated Smiler teams up with Lady Leshurr to remix his latest track 'Delorean' from his 'All I Am' mixtape. The original track alone went 'ardd with Wretch 32 as the feature (*ah yeahh*) but this time Lady Leshurr definitely makes the remix with her sick lyricism "I'm a inspiration like MJ was, in a Delorean call me MJ Fox". Jheez! If this  goes to show anything it has to be that these two artists are a devastating duo when put together.

Download Smiler's 'All I Am' mixtape 'ere at: http://bit.ly/alliknow

Rita Ora feat. Tinie Tempah - R.I.P

Jheeze! Two of the hottest artists right now team up to bring a MADNESS! Yep, Rita Ora gets Tinie Tempah to feature on her brand new track 'R.I.P'. Rita's verses sound familiar? Well Drake originally penned it for his track 'Im Ready For You', but we're thinking Rita does it justice. Tinie goes 'aarrddd yet again (we wouldn't expect any less) and we're predicting this is gonna be a BIG hit. Watch this space.

The Appeal - Body Bag

Woii! Grimeyy hip-hop duo The Appeal are sounding rather 'aarrdd with their brand new music video 'Body Bag'. With catchy, humorous bars on a variety of topics ''Extra extra read all about it, Rizzle Kicks them two little pricks got outed, musics funny I ain't down with them dumb kids, gay n****s why they down with the trumpets'' over a hottt beat, this is a tune to put on the replay. Whens the next song due out?

Tense - Get It In

Tense brings that money talk with 'Get It In'. The London based rapper has been doing alot recently, only dropping his grimeyy refix of Wretch's 'Don't Go' a couple weeks ago (if you haven't seen it, do it NOW!) and carries on with more fiirree with 'Get It In'. With 'aarrdd bars, chorus and instrumental this is one for the replay.

Tuesday 28 February 2012

Stuttering, Just Rhymez & Tro - Music And Honour

Jheeze, you know when you click on a video and its 'aarrdd and you have to ask yourself; why's the dislike bar so big? Well thats the case with Stuttering, Just Rhymez and Tro's new tune 'Music And Honour'. Stuttering is hands down the best lyricist on the track ''Life keeps stressing me out, see I used to get laughed at but picture me now, I'm fucking with the rap I never took no vows'' but all featured artists do their own thing over the laidback beat.

Sho Shallow - Turning Tables

Sho Shallow is at it again, this time going innn over an Adele inspired beat. As usual Shallow delivers them deep, thoughtful bars ''All I see is fake love feel it in the tension, I've got some fake dons I'd rather not mention, alot of fake trust most of us hate love, we don't do relationships phone me when we make love'' This is what Shallow does best and we can't wait for P.U.S.H due out next month.

GRIMEY REFIX: Yungen - Rack City

Jheeze! Play Dirty's finest is back again, yep Yungen has returned, this time with a overly grimeyy refix of Tyga's 'Rack City'. Going inn with them effortless bars ''they always ask me why im moving my hands, I hear them talking that loose shit, apologies if that hands abit fidgety, thats the hand I used to shoot with'' Yungen doesn't seem to be able to do anything wrong at the moment. We're not sure if this is the best Rack City refix we've heard but its definitely up there. What do you think?

Sunday 26 February 2012

YaSeeN - Day Ends

Jheeze! Upcoming lyracist YaSeeN comes with a minute and half of straight fiirreee with 'Day Ends' for JDZ Media. 'Ere at Cor' Grimey we aint heard much from this rapper but from this short segmant we can tell he's one to watch.

GRIMEY REFIX: FR - Rack City

FR gives us his own grimeyy take on Rack City, and guess what? He does it well! The South London rapper goes iinnn with punchline packed bars for Lost Vision ''You wont find me slow grinding with a grim, with chicks i'm picky like its time to get a trim'' End of the day its good to hear a British artist spitting over the over hyped Tyga beat.

Saturday 25 February 2012

Josh Osho - "Giants f/ Childish Gambino (Midi Mafia RMX)

You know you've made a great track when it gets remixed and this is certainly the case for Josh Osho (who you'd know most from his 'ard collab with Marger in 'This Year') who has his forthcoming single 'Giants' remixed by none other than rapper and actor Childish Gambino and US producing duo Midi Mafia. The track goes well and truly 'ardd with Josh Osho's vocals complementing the mellow and upbeat instrumental and Childish Gambino rapping skit ending the track nicely. This is a definitely surprising yet BIG collaboration for the UK singer just showing Mr Osho's breakthrough into the US scene and with tracks like this it's looking like the start of great things for the artist.

KNW ME TV [Rap SS EP.6] - Odotsheaman

It's been a nice start for south London artist Odotsheaman who went 'ard with his '2012 Statement' (check that out NOW if you haven't seen it). Now Odotsheaman goes 'ardd with a punchline packed freestyle for Knw Me TV's Serious Session series. The south London artist never fails to have us 'ere gassed by his 'ardd punchlines and this spitting session is no exception "throw away rubbish so you won't see no 'rappers' here".

Westwood Crib Sessions - Poet, Skribz & Pepstar

Westwood's been going inn recently with his 'ard Crib Sessions featuring artists such as JME, Dee Double E and Krept and Konan. Now Dats A Wrap Show's *singing voice* very own Poet steps up to the pedestal alongside Skribz and Pepstar with an overly 'ard Crib Session. Poet definitely highlights this session with his sick lyricism "My ex says I'm a star, guess she was good with astronomy" with Skribz demonstrating his mad flow. If we could change about this freestyle it would be to have Pepstar spit a few more bars but he still goes 'ard with his part making this a sick Crib Session. By the way big shoutout to DJ Slic who goes 'ardd with the choice of instrumentals.

Thursday 23 February 2012

Clappah (OBY) Ft. T.B & Dazzle - I Believe

Clappah, T.B. and Dazzle go deep with uplifting track 'I Believe' on Pacman TV. The track has all artists spitting deep and meaningful lyrics about life on the streets with themes of drugs, death, family and making it out of the streets. We especially have to shoutout Dazzle for his part on the track with some inspirational lyrics about trying to establish himself as an artist alongside his sick flow which complements the track nicely. The thing we 'ere at Cor' Grimey like about this track is the realness of the lyrics being spoken by all three artist and overall putting across the positive message that you can see better days if you believe which is a message we can all relate to.

Mic Righteous - Lean Up

Underrated lyricist Mic Righteous talks weed with his latest track 'Lean Up' for Channel AKA. We cant lie, we're slyly dissapointed it wasn't longer, ending in under 2 minutes it leaves any grime fan wanting more. With that effortless flow and storytelling ability over a more old skool hip-hop instrumental, Mic Righteous gets it just right again ''I was getting high before I wrote this, lean up, listening to Pac feeling hopeless''. 'Ere at Cor' Grimey we have always had respect for Righteous and knew he would go far. Haven't downloaded his latest mixtape with Preston Play yet? (DPMO!) Well download it now at his website ttp://www.micrighteous.com/ it will take a second and you wont be dissapointed.

Amplify Dot - Ruckus

Jheeze! Amplify Dot gives us yet another taster of her upcoming 'Short Back And Sides EP' with 'Ruckus' and trust us, its a BANGER! With the EP due out the 27th February, Dotty needs to pull out all the stops to get people to cop it and from the sound of 'Ruckus' we can't wait to hear it! Releasing it under her own 'Amped Up' label (you know its a good label if Ice Kid is also on it) we're overly excited with the sound she's bringing out nowadays and cant wait for the 27th February!

GRIMEY REFIX: Uncle Mix ft Shannon - Dolla

When we first heard Uncle Mix last year we 'ere at Cor' Grimey knew that he was an artist to watch for  ('Shoot Your Kite Down' featuring his 5 year old daughter Shannon still gets the replay treatment) Now he returns with his great take on Aloe Blacc's hit 'I Need A Dollar' with 'Dolla' alongside his daughter again who sings on the chorus while Uncle Mix goes inn with that poetic storyteling flow ''I spend more money then I'm making it don't make sense, anything my babies want come out my pocket because I'm the one that paying, I aint broke I can still buy a glass but its half empty and definitely breaking'' End of the day Uncle Mix has started 2012 with a bang and we just wanna say a big shout out to this guy and his workrate.

Like what your hearing? Download his 'Let It Roll EP' here at Link Up TV: http://linkuptv.co.uk/downloads/uncle-mix-let-it-roll-ep/

Tuesday 21 February 2012

Cash Stacks - Hustle

Cash Stacks goes 'ardd with 'Hustle'. The track has the London based artist going inn over a mad instrumental about getting the work in, hustling and something we can all relate to trying to get money. End of the day whether its for the 'ardd instrumental or the grimeyy hook 'Hustle' is one for the replay button.

Haze Ft. Swiss & Akala - Against All Odds

Here's some UK Hip Hop firee fellow music fans with Haze joining up with Swiss and Akala in 'Against All Odds' from Haze's forthcoming album, 'Loyalty, Honor, Respect'. The track has all three artists going inn over an overly 'arrdd hip-hop instrumental (who produced this fam!?) with the positive underlying message to go 'against all odds' to make it. We especially liked Swiss' part who's 'ardd bars ends the track nicely "Just because your breathing, that don't mean that your alive". And Akala? Suppose if you got Akala on a track you know its going be sick.

Monday 20 February 2012

Behind Barz - No Lay Freestyle

No Lay goes 'arrddd with a deep 'Behind Barz' session for Link Up TV. No Lay completely destroys in this freestyle with her personal bars showcasing how deep she is an artist "Abandoned by my family, fucked by society but I'm a strong woman tell my people not to cry for me". But the big surprise of this session has to be her amazing singing mid freestyle which further shows that she is a woman of many talents.

End of the day No Lay has a tendency not to dissapoint and this spitting session is just another example of how 'ard of an fem'cee/singer (and dancer and songwriter for those who didn't know) she is and we 'ere at Cor' Grimey feel that we can relate to the artist so much more after this and we can only respect her for such a deep and personal freestyle.

Startzy - Bob Marley

It was Bob Marley's birthday earlier this month and alongside the birthday messages came a flow of musical homages to the reggae legend and Startzy (who gained much recognition from last year's final of Dats A Wrap Show's cypher competition) is another artist with 'ardd track 'Bob Marley' from his latest mixtape 'Coz I Rarseclart Can'. The track has the UK Hip Hop artist spitting some deep bars over an 'ardd remixed instrumental of Bob Marley's 'I Shot The Sheriff' with his flow complementing the track nicely. End of the day there's no doubting Startzy's respect for the reggae artist as we 'ere at Cor' Grimey think he's done the instrumental justice.

You can download 'Coz I Rarseclart Can' here at:  www.sendspace.com/file/v86x3b

Sunday 19 February 2012

Roachee Ft. Dirty Danger - Evolving

Roachee returns and this time alongside frequent collaborator and Ruff Squad member Dirty Danger in deep track 'Evolving'. The track has the East London MC reflecting on aspects of his life such as his friends, family and his area with Dirty Danger on the chorus. This is a more personal track from Roachee who just shows how deep and versatile he is an artist and we 'ere are sure that if tracks like this (alongside his 'ardd grime tracks of course) are on his upcoming mixtape 'Roach Material Volume 2' is going to be a BANGER!

GTsolo - Zone Out

GTsolo goes inn with 'Zone Out' a track from his upcoming mixtape 'AfterHours' on Yeh Bwoy TV. The track has the London based artist spit firee over a grimeyy instrumental (shoutout to Flava D for the production) with a combination of 'ard bars "Yeah I wanna go straight to the top, you can front like you don't wanna rate man but your whole crew's giving me props", a sick flow and a catchy chorus. Which altogether makes this a track that's bound to have any grime fan put it on replay so check it out!

Friday 17 February 2012

Merki - Warm Up Sessions

Winner of last years Final Verse competition (you know, the one with Devlin) Merki shows just why he won with his 'ardd Warm Up Session for SB.TV. The warm up session has the E-Laborators member go inn over a medley of two hip hop instrumental with his flurry of punchlines "I'm so creative with it, like an artist painting an image, the way I use the ink, I should be framing these lyrics" and mad flow. The thing we like about Merki is that he's actually trying to convey a message through his lyrics which less and less artists are doing nowadays in the UK music scene. End of the day for all those doubting Merki win of the Final Verse competition watch this video and see if you change your mind.

Mynature - Put In Work (Yeah)

Ahhh yeah *Wretch 32 voice* King of the grimeyy refix Mynature returns with the continuation of his Myni Monday series and in what a way with the 'ardd track 'Put In Work (Yeah)' from his forthcoming album "It's My Nature". 2011 was a great year for Mynature who came with a string of 'arrddd grimeyy refixes and now the London based artist showcases his original content which definitely goes inn. 'Put In Work (Yeah) has Mynature spitting firee about how he's putting in work (obviously) over a grimeyy Hip Hop instrumental. End of  the day we 'ere at Cor' Grimey are going to miss his grimey refixes but if the track is anything to go by we can't wait for his album coming this summer.

Check out Mynature's mixtape right 'ere at: http://www.mynaturemusic.com/downloads/

Bashy feat. Dot Rotten, Lady Leshurr & Black The Ripper - Heart Of Stone

Jheeze! Bashy's workrate is going innn! Fresh from the release of his 'Crunchie' mixtape, Bashy's already getting ready to release an E.P 'The Great Escape' and gives us a much appreciated snippet with 'Heart Of Stone'. Featuring Dot Rotten (going 'aardd with his hooks as usual), Lady Leshurr (another artist pushing through with their workrate) and Black The Ripper (a legend in the grime scene) this was sure to be fiirreee even before we hit play. With all these artists on it do we really need to say more? Press play NOW!

GRIMEY REFIX: The Goods - Stay Schemin'

We're liking the sound of this one. The grimeyy collective have been doing alot recently (don't believe us? Check out the overly 'ard 'So Gone', innn!) and continue to show just why we're such big fans with their latest release- a grimeyy refix of 'Stay Schemin'. We're not gonna lie, the 'Stay Schemin' has been done by practically every grime artist now, but The Goods bring their own flavour to the track and thats why we think they're gonna go far. Check it out!

Boost - Baby Girl

Jheeze! Boost goes innn over a Maxwell inspired beat ('This Woman's Work', if you dont know get to know!). The Brixton lyracist (No Sneakbo) gets all lovey dovey with his latest release and we're feelin' it! Talking about that one special girl ''I know I done wrong, I warn make it up, you're my gift from above, you're my love'' we're sure alot of man can secretly relate (gotta pretend you're a gyallis infront of the mandem right?) End of the day this is a track we'll have on replay for a hot sec...

Joe Black feat. Barry Knight - Medicine

Joe Blacks talks to the ladies with newest track 'Medicine' featuring Barry Knight. We're liking the feel of this one, its not very often a 'grime' artist can pull off a more slow vibed, old skool song, but if anyone can do it its Joe Black. So hit the 'play' button, sit back and relax, we know you're going to wanna replay this one...

Sneakbo - Real Talk

*Wretch 32 voice* Ahh yeahh! This is the sort of music we've been waiting on from Mr. Sneak 'Im-On-A-Jetski-Wave' Bo. 'Ere at Cor' Grimey we started to get slyly bored of the repetitive 'gass' music Sneakbo was bringing out before but he's gone and turned that all around with 'Real Talk'. Sneakbo presents 'real' bars over the emotive beat ''F all the rest I'm rapping for bread, I never knew it gets hard I ain't even slept, I'm doing shows everynight and meeting these skets, fam its only 'cos I'm 'Bo they giving my head''. Also check out the Sho Shallow and Ard Adz feature halfway through the song. Could this be Sneakbo's best track to date?

Chromosome Live Lab Presents Queen T & Pinky GoGetta

We told you that she was one to watch and Queen T (a.k.a Big Tugz) proves just why with a deep and personal Chromosome Live Lab session. The live lab session has Queen T spitting over a slow pace acoustic about her daughter. It has been quite awhile since we've heard Queen T's name on the scene but if this goes to show anything its that Queen T is still one to watch and we cannot wait for what the artist has in-store this year. Also, who knew Tugz could sing?!

On another note, Pinky GoGetta also drops some bars for Chromosome Live Lab with a much faster (and hornier) set.  The Live Lab also see's some two other very talented singers and rapper take the mic, with all involved going innn. With a song soo....urm 'sensual' we can see why this was released on Valentines Day. Pinky GoGetta is a name we hadn't heard of much before, but after this Live Lab we will definetlely be checking up on her and downloading her recently released 'Pink Tuesday' mixtape.

Mikey J & The UK Female Allstars - Rock The Mic

Our favourite femcee's are at it again, yep the 'female allstars' are back, and they mean business. We've been replaying 'Rock The Mic' ever since we first heard/saw them perfom it at 1Xtra Live.

With Amplify Dot opening with her effortless catchy bars ''I'm in my zone, no travelcard'' followed up by Baby Blue ''I make the beat shake like an epileptic'', Lioness ''So rhyming has never been a chore, try a ting then you'll find how a lion makes a roar'', Roxxxan ''Im an animal, walk in my safari'', Mz. Bratt ''I've come a long way from the old days, still get a bit of hate but its okay'' and last but certainly not least Lady Leshurr ''Shhh stop the beat when L talks, I leave 'em leaning like how crabs walk''. End of the day, EVERYTHING about this is on point and this just proves our point that the UK's female rappers are second to none. Nicki who?

Grimeyy TV: Rising Star BAFTA: Adam Deacon - The British Academy Film Awards 2012

BAFTA's was on Sunday and we 'ere at Cor' Grimey just wanted to say congratulations to Adam Deacon on winning the Rising Star BAFTA. If you've been watching Adam Deacon from dayy like we have you would have seen him make his major acting debut on grimeyy hit film 'Kidulthood' which gave him much deserved exposure in the UK film scene and lead him to roles in more grimey films such as 'Adulthood', 'Shank' and '4.3.2.1.'.

But now the North-East London actor has began to develop into more serious acting roles such as his starring role in drama 'The Boarding School Bomber'. End of the day there is no doubting the progress Adam Deacon has made as an actor and as fans we can only respect that. So Congratulations Adam Deacon.

English Frank - Southside Connection ft Dot Rotten, Mic Righteous, G Fresh, Jaja Soze, Dru blu, Timbar, Trips, Youngs Teflon, Nolay, Pak-Man, Naja Soze, Shaun White

When English Frank dropped his latest mixtape 'Listen To Frank' we 'ere at Cor' Grimey concluded that 'Southside Connection' was in our opinion one of the stand out tracks from the from the overly 'ardd mixtape, and now English Frank has dropped the visuals for this 'ardd trackk which definitely does not fail to disappoint.

With a number of 'ardd features on the track it's clearly obvious that English Frank is a well connected artist in the UK music scene which is evident with the artist appearing alongside every single artist featuring on the track in the video. All artists spit firee on their respective part about their area of South London especially Dru blu "I'm banging to feed, I want money now, I ain't trying to hang around, I ain't Gary Speed" and Mic Righteous whose mad flow destroys the instrumental. And of course English Frank himself brings a bit of comedy with his part on the track (horses and a carrot?) but still goes as grimeyy as ever.

Monday 13 February 2012

Ghetts - In A Zone

For all those who didn't believe us when we said Ghetts work rate is going inn! Guess what the Grime MC is  back at it again with absolute BANGER "In A Zone". The track has Ghetts moving into a different genre with him spitting firee over a dubstep instrumental. Is this a permanent switch up from the artist, we 'ere at Cor' Grimey doubt it however if it is, it just shows that Ghetts has not only proved he's got a mad work rate but also that he can go inn on the dubstep scene.

#GOOSH2 - Depz

Jheez! Depz jumps on producer Preditah's latest 'arddd instrumental 'Circles' (from his overly 'arrddd EP 'Circles') as part of GrimeBlog's #GOOSH2 series, the grime MC goes inn over the grimeyy beat. Being less than 2 minutes long this is a short spitting session from the artist which just leaves us wanting for more! But for the now we 'ere just going the music and wheel it up!

JMC - Got To Survive

JMC (Not to be confused with Boy Better Know's JME) goes 'ardd with his latest release 'Got To Survive' directed by Quason Matthews. The track has JMC spitting about his grimeyy lifestyle with the artists bars tearing through the instrumental.  Another thing we 'ere at Cor' Grimey like about this track is the old school reggae sampling on the chorus. Make sure you what out for his next mixtape 'HollyHood Part 2 R.O.A.D.W.O.R.K.S' We sure will be!

Sunday 12 February 2012

Icon FiveStar - 6PM

Icon FiveStar spits firee with his latest release '6 PM'. The track has the London based artist going inn demonstrating his 'ardd bars "I've got enough bars, so I don't need a charger". End of the day Icon FiveStar is a lyrical force to be reckoned with. And if you need proof watch the video fam!

Lyracis - Set Fire To The Rain

Upcoming rapper Lyracis blesses Soul Culture with a very grimeyy refix of Adele's smash 'Set Fire To The Rain'. With his last video 'Speakerphone' (a song that could easily be Tinie Tempah's) at over 600,000 views and a very obvious talent its a surprise Lyracis is still unsigned. Well known for his grimeyy refixes (we advise you go to his Youtube channel and watch his refix of Drake's 'Juice) we knew he was gonna smash it with this one, and he definitely did. Lyracis is a name you need to remember, this guy is gonna go far.

Mahry Mars - #RandomThoughts Freestyle

*Wretch 32 voice* Ahh Yeaahh! Grimeyy Youtube sensation Mahry Mars hits us with her 'aardd debut music video entitled 'Psycho Chick'. As usual Mahry goes fully innn, from the beat to her singing to her bars, everything is on point. This chick is seriously dope, and slyly reminds us of a young, British Lauryn Hill (the QUEEN of hip-hop).

All we wanna know now: whens the mixtape/E.P out??

Friday 10 February 2012

Niall Nervz - Rap About

Jheeze! Niall Nervz returns with an absolute banger in the shape of 'Rap About' for Rap City. The fast paced lyricist has been going innn with his workrate these last few months, bringing out video's left right and centre, showing everyone exactly why he's so well respected in the grime scene and 'Rap About' further adds to that. Check it out!

Yungen - Before I'm Gone Freestyle

There are only a select few rappers who are really going innnn and doing their own ting in the scene right now. Yungen is one of them. The Play Dirty lyricist goes 'arrdd yet again, this time over J. Cole's 'Before I'm Gone' instrumental. Goin inn about why he's not 'blown' the rapper states ''I kill my competition and I give my condolence, got bars got flow got the image on lock, the only thing i'm lacking is a bit of promotion'' and as normal he's speaking the truth.

Emeli Sande - A64 ['River' & 'Hope']

The Scottish singing sensation that is Emeli Sande goes back to her roots (SBTV, of course) to deliver an amazing A64 of 'River' and 'Hope' from her upcoming debut album 'Our Version Of Events'. Sande is note perfect as normal, and what more can we say? 2012 is gonna be a very BIG year for her. Like us, we think you'll be pressing the replay button an awful lot after the first listen...

The Unit feat. Ghetts - Say No More [+ Mixtape Download Link]

Say what you want about Ghetts, but you can't disagree when we say his workrate goes innn. 'Ere he is again, this time featuring on The Unit's 'Say No More'. The grime collective, who's previously released mixtape 'Punchline Era' featured other big names like Lady Leshurr, Mega and Mayhem, have been putting in the work this last year and look set to make 2012 another good year.

Notes Forelli - See The Dark

Notes Forelli gets deep with 'See The Dark'. The London bred rapper, who's just dropped his mixtape 'Winters Back' (a must download, if you haven't click the link below) talks about money, family and life on road in the track. The chorus and instrumental are 'aaarrddd, with Forelli's deep, slowed down bars complimenting them. REEPPLLLAAYYY!

Download 'See The Dark' here: http://hoodtapes.co.uk/notes-forelli-winters-back/

Dun D - Good Die Young

Dun D gives a heartfelt tribute to the late Theo Mensah with 'Good Die Young'. Dun D covers the subject of why the good die young; ''Somebody tell me why the good die young, while the others that are livings doing wrong, if its true that the good die young, then I'm gonna be a bad guy, that way i'm gonna live long'' and the death of Theo Mensah ''Still tryna come to terms with the news, about the death of Theo I'm confused, all the sisters lost a brother, who's gonna call me bruv says his mother''. This is an emotional song with a real message.

R.I.P Theo Mensah.

REC - The Soul

REC smashes it with newest release 'The Soul' for Link Up TV. 'Ere at Cor' Grimey we love a bit of UK Hip-Hop and this is most definitely that. The soulful instrumental and laidback chorus ''Its just me against the world'' plus REC's underrated lyricism all make for a 'aaarrdd tune we will have on replay for a hot sec.

Wednesday 8 February 2012

K Koke - There's A Light [Snippet]

Jheeeze! Koke is on FIIRRREE! And this is only a snippet. Who thought a song lasting one and a half minutes would get us so happs? Going innn yet again with them real bars, ''likkle mans mad, he's got no family, he don't want toys, he don't want candy. He want's love but his mum wants Brandy, his lifes rough, wouldn't you feel angry?''. Want the full song? Well all we need to do is get the Youtube video to 500,000 views (a small amount for Koke) in a month and Koke will release it with visuals! Support the cause, share the video and watch it 1000 times a day to get the views up.

GRIMEY REFIX: Young Mikes - Stay Dreaming

Following on from the overly 'aaarrdd 'Day 2' (If you don't know, get to know NOW!) Young Mikes does it again with his grimeyy take on Rick Ross and co's 'Stay Schemin'. Now 'ere at Cor' Grimey we've heard ALORT of Stay Schemin' refixes, from Britain to the US, but Mikes is definetely representing with his version. With effortless bars ''original snowman, I put the white up in the [w]raps'' and a heavy flow, Mikes is one to watch.

Josh Kumra - Quickie

*Wretch 32 voice* Ahhh Yeaahh! Josh Kumra goes innn with this very special cover of Miguel's 'Quickie'. The 'Don't Go' collaborater has since been seemingly quiet music-wise, but not anymore. Kumra's soft, husky vocals really add something to the acoustic cover, both complimenting one another. This guy looks like a very exciting artist, we're definetely going to look out for him in the future.

Maverick Sabre - Video Games/ Heaven

Irish crooner Maverick Sabre shows just how its done with his grimeyy mashups of Lana Del Ray's 'Video Games' and fellow Brit Emeli Sande's 'Heaven'. The 'aarrdd take on both songs is taken from Maverick's Live Lounge. As usual his unique, Amy Winehouse-esque voice just comforts the music perfectly. Cor' Grimey, this guy is seriously talented, now all we need to do is cop his brand new debut album 'Lonely Are The Brave'!

Tuesday 7 February 2012

Lady Leshurr - Good God

Fresh from the release of her 'ardd E.P. '2000 and L'. Lady Leshurr brings out the visuals to the first track from it 'Good God'. When we 'ere first heard this track we knew the video had to as mad as her flow and bars, and we gotta say Nang TV does a great job with it. With visual illustrations of almost every bar the Brummy MC spits which only reminds us of the video for her first single 'Lego'. Either way this a great track and video from the artist which is bound to have us putting it in repeat. Check it out!

Monday 6 February 2012

SeeJay100 - Living My Life

Up and coming artist SeeJay100 goes inn with deep track 'Living My Life'. The track has the 'Dem Two' member spitting some personal bars about his recent life experiences including his trips abroad, his relationships and living on the streets showing his high points and low points of it all. Overall we 'ere at Cor' Grimey don't see many artists go this personal into track but SeeJay100 is one of those artists who does and we can only respect that. Check it out!

C4 - Scene Smasher

Jheez! Brummy MC C4 returns with his very own 'Scene Smasher' for P110. C4 switches up his 'ardd flow over the grimeyy instrumental alongside with some sick bars "you will never hear talk about selling weed, cause I'm not a fake gangster Ali G". Also shoutout to Preditah (who has his sick E.P. 'Circles' out now!) for the production, that just shows how much of a lethal combination the MC/producer duo are in the Grime scene. End of the day C4 never fails to get us 'ere at Cor' Grimey going Oorite! And this is no exception so check it out Oorite!?

Maverick Sabre - 'Redemption Song' - [Bob Marley] - A64

Happy Birthday Bob Marley and as a tribute to the reggae legend Maverick Sabre provides a beautiful cover of  'Redemption Song' on SB.TV A64 sessions. The grimeyy singer/rapper soulful vocals complements the reggae song perfectly. End of the day an amazing cover from an amazing artist makes this a great tribute for the legend.

WHAT'S THE E.P. SAYING?: Lady Leshurr - 2000 And L (Hosted By DJ Whoo Kid)

Jheez! US producer DJ Whoo Kid has seen himself collaborating with various UK Grime artists including Ghetts, Giggs and Wiley; now it's Lady Leshurr's turn to pave the way for state side exposure. Lady Leshurr has quickly become a major femcee in the UK music scene with a strong fan following and when we heard of this collaboration we knew it was going to be 'ardd and now with it's release we can easily say it does not fail to disappoint.

The 9 track E.P. has the brummy artist showcasing her versatility as an artist. With a combination of raw Hip-Hop tracks, Slow paced jams and them good old tracks that gets us 'ere gassed, Lady Leshurr spits firee through them all.

The thing we like about this mixtape is the originality of the tracks which the producer/MC brings to the E.P. Tracks like 'Good God' has Miss Leshurr's flow running laps round the 'ardd instrumental which just shows how much of a lethal combination they are together. One of our favourite tracks has to be 'Bun Up' where the femcee switches it up with a more reggae genre for the E.P. Either way Lady Leshurr's creativity flows through this E.P.  AND WE LOVE IT!

So end of the day what's the E.P. saying? Well our conclusion is ALORT! From UK to US Lady Leshurr is a force to be reckoned with leaving us with one question. When's the album coming out?

Krept & Konan - So Far (Ft Josh Osho) (Official Video)

Krept and Konan show how 'far' they've come with their latest release 'So Far' (see what we did there? No?) alongside singer Josh Osho. Track has the grimeyy duo reflecting on the high points of their progress in the UK music scene including their reflection on their standout tracks and their increasing popularity "southside, that's me but they 'spot' my face in Hackney (acne)" accompanied with an 'ardd instrumental while still pulling out their trademark punchlines. Along with Josh Osho wrapping up the track on the hook. End of the day Krept and Konan never fails to amazes us with their lyrical ability and as the track's underlying message show this is only the beginning for the punchline pulling duo.

Joe Black - F64 [S3.EP28]

'Ere at Cor' Grimey we like a artist who actually spits real, truthal bars, so imagine our excitement when we heard Joe Black had a brand new F64 out! As usual the North London artist goes innn, spitting about real and personal themes of the music industry ''fuck the industry, i took my product right to the customers'', going to pen ''I made a couple wrong turns on the road to riches, a couple times I had to go to prison'', swagger ''fuck swag, I've never had a Gucci belt around my waist''  and even shouts out Smokey Barz ''Tryna go from bedroom to boardroom like SB''. End of the day, Joe Black does not dissapoint, and all them people going on about his monotone voice? Try listening to the depth of his lyrics.

Fallen Angel - Paradise

Jheeze! Upcoming femcee Fallen Angel goes innn with her latest release 'Paradise' for Rap City. 'Ere at Cor' Grimey we're slightly ashamed to say this is the first time we've heard of the sicckk lyricist that is Fallen Angel (we need to repent) but we're glad we've discovered her! With deep insightful lyrics ''From the trap where the crack sells, a road to hell, tryna stack bucks but we're destined to fail''  ''kids getting hit these pricks shoot blind and it makes me sick just to witness the sight'' over a laidback, effective instrumental, this is a song to listen to if you want more than the normal 'yatts, straps and money' talk you normally get in a song.
